Employers in the United Kingdom first must apply for a Sponsor Licence from UK Visas and Immigration in order to hire skilled employees. Before workers may apply to come to or stay in the UK for employment. They must have a job offer from an employer who has submitted a valid Sponsor License application.
What are the most important criteria for obtaining a Sponsor Licence?
To get a Sponsor Licence, you must prove to UK Visas and Immigration that:

- You are truthful, trustworthy, and dependable;
- You are capable of fulfilling your sponsor responsibilities and demonstrating your compliance in a timely and suitable way;
- You have the ability to provide actual work with acceptable skill levels.
